"Our son Brian, now 13 years old, has worked with Coach Juan Eichelberger for over three years. Juan is a phenomenal coach and mentor to our son. He does an outstanding job of emphasizing and training proper pitching mechanics, communicating often advanced and technical concepts in words and ways young pitchers can understand. Brian has consistently improved during his time working with Juan, directly translating to success on the mound.
We cannot recommend him strongly enough as a pitching instructor, and hope Brian can stay with him as long as he pitches!"

My Son has played competitively since 8 yrs old for some of the top travel teams in Southern California, so we have had many a pitching coach and have experienced every philosophy out there. Juan has a unique way of relating to the kids and teaches a very useful one pitch adjustment ideology. The mechanics he teaches are not only for accuracy and velocity but for safety and longevity. We started with Juan about 4 years ago and he made an instant impact on my sons accuracy and velocity. He finished high school and went on to pitch in college. Juan has had constant contact with my Son throughout the process and is someone who my son looks to for mentoring and advice even at the Division I level. I feel confident in recommending Juan to anyone, in which I have done so many times.
Thank you Juan for your continued support!

"If it wasn't for Juan I would not have become the pitcher I ended up being, nor the coach I am today. Juan not only taught me a lot about pitching mechanics, but he peaked my curiosity about how I could further my education to continually make myself a better pitcher and in turn help others. He taught me the importance of being able to incorporate the lower half into my mechanics and get the most of my body. He explained to me how important the back leg was along with extension of the back hip. Without these key elements, I would have never reached my full potential. As a freshman in community college I was throwing 77-81 mph and after my first year with Juan I made a significant jump to 85-88 mph. I ended my career as a college baseball player as a starter at Pittsburg State University throwing in the upper 80’s and hitting 90-91 on a consistent basis. My career came to an end after playing professional baseball in Mexico for the Marineros de Ensenada.
That is something I would have never thought possible. But because of Juan’s teachings I was able to make my dream a reality. Now as the head pitching coach at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, I tailor make that same philosophy to fit all my guys and their needs. Juan was more than just a pitching coach to me. He was a friend, a Father figure and above all else a role model."

"Juan has taught me many things about the life of baseball. Whether it was about pitching, hitting, fielding, running, or throwing it all led to help me become the best person I could be. I wasn't blessed with a 90+ MPH fastball but Juan was instrumental in helping me use my mind and the talent that I had to become successful enough in college to win my conference's pitcher of the year award."

"Evan's success on the field is a direct result of his relentless pursuit of perfection in his daily preparation," Coach Miller said. "He demands more out of himself than his coaches ever could, and as a result of his commitment to his preparation, he simply expects to win every time he steps on the field. What makes him so special as a player is that he has the ability to elevate the entire team's level of confidence because they know they can count on him to be prepared to compete at a high level on an incredibly consistent basis. I would be hard-pressed to name another player I have coached who practiced and played with as much character, tenacity, desire, attention to detail, confidence, and competitive resolve."

Tristen's mechanics on the mound have become more defined and therefore allowing him to reach his full potential as a closing pitcher on his Travel Ball Team (San Diego Swagger).
Tristen has also gained more speed on his fastball because of his practice with balance. All of his hard work has made him a more confident baseball player overall.
We owe all of his progress to Coach Juan Eichelberger, as he has been his Mentor/Pitching Coach since he was in Little League.
I look forward to seeing my son and Coach Juan work on his further development in the coming high school years....

We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have found Juan shortly after moving to the San Diego area. For three years, Juan's mentorship and instruction of Reese was invaluable and enjoyable. His ability to break complex mechanics into easily digestible components, and to simply and clearly explain what Reese needed to work on, allowed him to rapidly improve his mechanics, command, control, and velocity. Juan's deep understanding of the mental aspects of the game helped Reese to substantially improve his focus and, as Reese would put, "totally mess with hitters' brains." Reese is now an incoming high school sophomore playing on both his school's varsity summer team and a 16/18U travel showcase team.
And watch out...Reese is teaching his little brother, Taggart, everything he learned from Juan...and this little eight-year-old beast just K'ed five batters in two innings of work, today, in his second ever pitching appearance.
